Bethany Green’s work combines painting, drawing, collage and photography. Concerned with the remembering and retelling of place, she responds to experiences of natural environments. The method of photography is often the starting point of her practice, in which she documents places of tranquillity, woodland in particular. From these records she creates her artwork, overlaying images and exaggerating colours. Green’s artwork focuses on instinctive responses to natural environments and her consciousness of thought and emotion in these places.
