Reece Reilly

Reece Reilly’s work explores the propagation and alteration of information and how by intervening in the flow of this information, it is possible to create new and differing realities. By utilising analogue printing techniques such as screen and mono printing, he attempts to understand and portray the complexity involved in simple ideas such as truth, memory and honesty.

While the theoretical and conceptual background of his work may be relatively complex, the final outcomes are often closer to the opposite; with a bold and varying use of colour, Reilly intersects both formal and abstract forms with more playful hand drawn elements to conjure up feelings of both disparity and interconnectedness at the same time.
