Nathan Dickson

Nathan Dickson’s prints focus on the amalgamation of metaphysical principles and morals with complementary and supportive imagery, intended to present existential concepts and solutions in a more understandable, relatable and humorous manner.

Arising from an interest in philosophy, mythology/folklore and poetry, Dickson has experimented with various approaches and has found that entertaining visuals, combined with more simplistic and understandable reading, produces a more successful response. It is for this reason that Dickson has chosen to present his works in the form of a fable, but with a personal twist on the imagery. Where the moral might not be immediately clear, the inherent humour contained within the telling of the fable is equally important and may help understand what the point behind the story is and thus its moral lesson.
