Clark Broadwood-Smith

Clark Broadwood-Smith’s work meditates on the questions that intrigue and captivate him, and he transforms them into visual and tactile thoughts. His practice connects sculpture and painting, both lending insight to one and other and often intermingling them together. His focus is anthropology in a broad sense, from the way we depend and misuse architectural spaces, to the mythology and beliefs we have in objects. Broadwood-Smith takes us away from the familiarity of these everyday encounters, and presents them in the light of examination.
